Ever just want to tear your hair out, or someone else's? If you cannot restore a sense of balance, you will run away from home? Just want to say some things without the constraints of staying on topic? Well, this thread is for you! If you just need a short break to let it all hang out, be a brat, then come on, you can do it. No holding back! Go for it, you can do it.
Genetic engineering makes for purebred cats. (says my dH, but I will be sharing much less with him from here on, he confuses me).
But I thanked him for the help with t.v. titles and trivia.
I am up late. On a wonky schedule lately and I'm enjoying my movies online, my naps during the day. It can't last but I'm enjoying it the past several days. :D
My understanding is that all carrots were purple, then they "bred" them to be orange. Why? Who knows. There's a story there, I'm sure. And all these different breeds of domesticated dogs... and cats. It's a wonder, really.
Good dreams tonight everyone!
Nighty nite Ali-the West Coast has it!
MsMadge, are you up too?
Well Gershun, I meant the West Coast of U.S. and Canada has it!
Totally forgot wherever Glad is located now, but it doesn't matter as long as it is closer to her family!
Having cats and kittens on my brain....
You said CARROTS, and not Cats!
But who was the actor who played their Butler, named Max?
Almost missed your answers! Thanks for playing!
Bruce Willis and Sybil Sheppard were in the t.v. series "Moonlighting".
It means, whenever there is an answer (whenever that could be), the poster will get an e-mail in 10 minutes or less!
Does that sound right?
What was this actor's name?
My monkey....an M&M peanut will fit in his nostril perfectly, but I don't eat that one.
Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight
The withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan
Memory, all alone in the moonlight
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again
Every street lamp seems to beat
A fatalistic warning
Someone mutters and the street lamp sputters
And soon it will be morning
Daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I mustn't give in
When the dawn comes
Tonight will be a memory, too
And a new day will begin
Burnt out ends of smoky days
The stale court smell of morning
A street lamp dies
Another night is over
Another day is dawning
Touch me
It's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you'll touch me
You'll understand what happiness is
Look, a new day has begun
Songwriters: ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER
Genetic engineering? Oh, I simply chalk that up as the way of the world. Why are carrots orange and not purple? Why do we have broccoli and domesticated cats and dogs? lol ;)
(And no more Neanderthals! <-- most important, that one)
My Mother,dH and I spent a week on the Strip and stayed at The Excalibur.Mother popped it on us at dinner one night that she had bought tickets for us all to see "Phantom" the next day and I had no idea what a treat I was in for.I never wanted it to end.
It was also on this trip I got to go to The Liberace Museum which is now gone and my Mother who had never gambled ever won $1,250.00 on a slot machine. The whole trip was something else. The only bad thing that happened was that Mother's cane was left on the plane and we had to immediately go get one and also it was the last trip Mother was ever able to take, but I am grateful for the memories for sure.
LuckyLu, how neat that you got to see Andrew Lloyd Webber!
Maurice Chevalier
We met at nine, we met at eight, I was on time, no, you were late
Ah, yes, I remember it well
We dined with friends, we dined alone, a tenor sang, a baritone
Ah, yes, I remember it well
That dazzling April moon, there was none that night
And the month was June, that's right, that's right
It warms my heart to know that you remember still the way you do
Ah, yes, I remember it well
How often I've thought of that Friday, Monday night
When we had our last rendezvous
And somehow I foolishly wondered if you might
By some chance be thinking of it too?
That carriage ride, you walked me home
You lost a glove, aha, it was a comb
Ah, yes, I remember it well
That brilliant sky, we had some rain
Those Russian songs from sunny Spain
Ah, yes, I remember it well
You wore a gown of gold, I was all in blue
Am I getting old? Oh, no, not you
How strong you were, how young and gay
A prince of love in every way
Ah, yes, I remember it well
