We've been there. We understand. Neither giving nor receiving care is easy. Home Instead® puts relationships first to support those giving care, to protect the dignity of those receiving care, and to enhance the quality of life for both seniors and their families in every caregiving experience.
If your family recognizes the value of aging in place as we do, you’ve come to the right place. Home Instead® Care Professionals provide compassionate and reliable home care services to help keep seniors safe and independent wherever they call home.
Paul and Lori Hogan founded Home Instead, Inc. in 1994 in Omaha, Nebraska. Paul's own family experience caring for his grandmother led him to realize many families could use the help of an in-home caregiver. He and Lori set about creating a company to help seniors to live independently at home. That mission still drives the company and its franchise network today.
Home Instead, Inc. began franchising in 1995. Today, the Home Instead® network has grown to include more than 1,200 franchises around the world. While our franchise network is international, our office is local. And to us, home care is personal.

Home Instead Senior Care has been a lifesaver to me and my family as we try to care for my grandmother with dementia. I am the primary caregiver and facilitate care for all her needs. I truly could not have done it without the caring staff and responsive members of their team. The ladies in the office always respond immediately and with compassion! Grandma's caregivers go above and beyond and communicate all of her needs. I cannot say enough good things about this experience and their team. I feel that they truly care for my grandmother and our family.

The owner of Home Instead Senior Care of Rochester area is amazing. She is caring, compassionate, experienced and organized. For her, I would give 5 stars. This does not necessarily hold true to all the employees. My experience was this: The owner was fantastic at immediate follow through, calming my nerves, offering advice and arranging for in-home care as soon as possible. The actual in-home caregivers were also all very nice, however, I had a hard time finding the right fit. My only hope and request is that each caregiver would simply offer the same level of care that you would give your own parent. I found that I had to micro-manage everything. Down from writing an extensive list of things they could do, to making sure it was done. I don't think the needs were too great, I think the caregivers I had simply were either on the less experienced side, or a little bit lazy. I imagine it's difficult to find great, perfect employees. It is what it is. There is nothing like taking care of your elderly parents like yourself, but I became exhausted trying to make sure that we got what we paid for and had to follow through on everything. I was grateful for the help, got tired, then opted to move them to assisted living.

I was very impressed with Home Instead of Rochester from my very first conversation with their HR rep. I was immediately connected to someone who gave me detailed information about their services, rates, and caregivers. My father has been receiving quality support from a great team of professionals since his discharge from rehab. They truly are compassionate and caring.
