Right at Home has provided in-home care and assistance to seniors and disabled adults since 1995. With more than 300 offices nationwide, Right at Home is a leader in the home care industry. Richard and Paula Nelson, BSW established their Grand Rapids office in 2007. Paula is a Certified Senior Advisor and an experienced Social Worker. Richard is experienced in sales marketing and business management.
Richard and Paula became interested in home care as a result of personal experiences caring for Paula's dad. Like many families today, Paula and her sisters live in different states. “When dad’s ability to care for himself declined there were very few options for care. If we had access to the care that Right at Home provides dad could have remained independent at home longer. “
“Our primary motivation in our business is to help families provide quality care for their loved ones at home where they want to remain. Right at Home gives families peace of mind knowing their love one is being cared for by people they can trust.”
Paula and Richard are passionate about providing service that exceeds their client’s expectations. Developing competent and compassionate caregivers is their #1 priority. Right at Home caregivers are carefully selected with these requirements:
Prior care experience is required.
Criminal background checks are done.
All caregivers must pass a competency test.
Professional reference and licensing are reviewed.
All caregivers are trained and supervised by our professional staff.
Drug screening of all employees.
