Diego Uribe has owned and operated SYNERGY HomeCare of Barrington since 1986, serving the greater Barrington area and the surrounding suburbs, including Algonquin, Buffalo Grove, Huntley, Inverness, and Lake Zurich. During that period, his professional care team has created peace of mind for more than a thousand local families, providing more than a million hours of exceptional in-home care.
Diego was born in Colombia into a military family. In 1969 he and his family moved to the U.S. and he later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as an MBA from the University of Texas. In fact, as an Engineer, Diego was granted 5 patents!
After his corporate career, and having experienced home care as a family caregiver for his mother, Diego realized there was a need for a personal, caring, and professional approach to supporting seniors at home. This calling led Diego to open SYNERGY HomeCare of Barrington, the very first SYNERGY Home Care agency in the state of Illinois. Per Diego, the thought “If this were my parent, how can I best help?” never leaves the forefront of his team’s mind.
From companionship to around-the-clock care, SYNERGY HomeCare of Barrington provides a range of in-home care services so your elder loved one can confidently age in place in the familiarity and comfort of their own home. In addition to seniors, SYNERGY HomeCare proudly provides wholehearted in-home care and support services to people of all ages and abilities. Whether you or your loved one is living with a disability or chronic condition, recovering from cancer, illness or surgery, or are a new or expectant mother, SYNERGY HomeCare of Barrington provides full in-home caregiver support for fuller lives.
Diego has been a Barrington resident since 1986, and is a very proud father of two daughters and grandfather to five grandsons. He is active in the local community as a member of the Barrington Rotary Club, and is currently leading the Companion Club on a project-focusing on mental health. In addition Diego is an active supporter of BACOA (Barrington Area Council On Aging).
