That is where I found my Elder Law Attorney, who has been outstanding. We made sure she was with a large firm so in case she left/retired, that another Elder Law Attorney in the firm would take over her clients.

I would call your local Office of Aging and ask for the phone# of Legal Aid.

If you want to create these documents as inexpensively as possible, then go to services like LegalZoom.com or RocketLawyer.com (and there are others). You can download the forms appropriate for your state and also have the option of discussing things with an attorney licensed in your home state. I've done this (with Legalzoom.com) for both my Mom and MIL and have had no problems.

Make sure that your PoA is at least a full generation younger than you (20 years) and lives locally to you, is competent and willing to take on this responsibility.
