I live in Watsontown and she lives in Bloomsburg. I don't want to take my whole day of visiting with her bugging her to get a shower and wash her hair. She has onset dementia, but is doing well in her own environment. I am the only child left as my sister passed with pancreatic cancer a couple of years ago. I do have my own health issues and my husband has MS and constant pain from back problems. I also work full time as we own a trucking company. She told me that 2 of her neighbors have someone come in to help them and Mother said she would "think about it". I told her Saturday that she has been thinking for over a year and we must get someone. I don't know where to start so I would appreciate any help I can get. Is she eligible for help for Medicare to pay for this or must we pay for this. I am on social security. Still working because i must continue to run the business. We can't quit until we get things done and cleaned up. I am just asking for help because i want my time with Mother to be relaxing and something she looks forward to. She doesn't remember things we discuss. For instance, last Saturday she wanted me to make her an appt for a haircut for this Saturday. I reminded her tht if we make this appt, we must keep it as he just comes in on Saturday for appointments. She said yes. Last night I told her I had gotten her a hair appt. She had no idea what i was talking about. She did finally agree to go, but she didn't remember. IT is important to me to have her on a schedule. If she could have someone come in on a certain day every week or whatever. Where do i go? Thanks for your help.
