They get paid by medicare now, money running out in days and they said he can stand with assistance and only need assited living that they want him moved to. He still has advanced dementia, can't shower, eat, dress orwalk by himself but he was elevuated at an L which says he can? So this facility calls constantly for us to get him out--knowing he needs to go into a nursing home but their calls are unsettling and we are afraid they will move him on his own--do we have an recourse? Need help.
What kind of Health Care facility is he in now? Skilled Nursing?
They want/need to move him because his money is running out and they are not willing to accept Medicaid. Is that correct?
And you think he needs a Nursing Home, and they think he needs Assisted Living?
If he can't pay his bills, I guess they have the right to evict him. I wouldn't think that they can dictate where you take him. But I don't know. Please clarify the situation so someone with similar experiences can give you a more informed answer.
