Ada County has an active case, involving foul play (murder) on her. I would like to find out how to obtain a Delayed Death Certificate for her. The Detective has answered the questions required on the H & W form to file for a Delayed Death certificate, but only after you obtain the Death Certificate. All evidence indicates she was buried off Pleasant Valley Rd south of Boise, Idaho and digs but the detective have been done to attempt to find her remains, based on credible information. My family has done a foot search in the same area. After 30 years out there, we will likely never find any bones. How do I go about getting a death certificate when there was no coroner involved?

Also look up online Idaho Missing Person Clearing House, k. There is information for you there as well as your local police.

Sirry for yourbloss but after 7 yrs you could have gone to court to declare her dead. No one is going to just give you a death certificate because you think she may be. Consult with a lawyer to see what can be done.

Frankly, I would call the news. You want “Channel 4 investigative team” or “7 on your side” to talk to whomever in vital records is in charge.

I just want to say , how very sorry, this is unimaginable pain, that I can't even wrap my brain around.

We have a beloved missing 12 year old from my area, recently we were all on pins and needles because they found some remains. It was not are missing 12 year old, sadly. I cried so hard, when I heard it wasn't him. because I just wanted his family to have some peace.

Are whole community prays he will be found , and that would lead to an arrest. We never forgot him nor will we.

I hope you have a community support in your area, and it brings some peace to your life.

We will never give up the hope.

I have no answer to you question, your story just really touched me

🙏😞

First of all, I am so very sorry. I cannot conceive of having a missing child, and the not knowing is unimaginable.
Secondly, I am so surprised you haven't gone to your local police station or sheriff who is following this case, K. We are a Forum from all round the world, and you don't even tell us where you are from.
Let's just me start with telling you what I surmise, or "guess". First of all the only Ada County I can find is Idaho. Is that correct?
There is a process to apply for a death certificate in Idaho for a missing person.
You can download the application online and submit it.
The way I got this information was to first:
1. Go to your favorite search engine: Google, Bing, any of those.
2. Type in "How to get death certificate for missing person in Idaho"
3. That will bring you to sites that will not only tell you how to do the process, but will allow you to download a PDF of the missing person death certificate application.
4. These come through your country office most normally, so if you are having trouble with this process go to your local county courthouse and throw yourself upon their mercy.

I am so very sorry this is the case for you. Again, I cannot imagine this. My heart goes out to you. I wish you good luck. The state and county and township officials are there to help you, just as they have throughout this sad process. As them how to go about this if you are having trouble. With knowing almost nothing this is the best I could do.

Remember, in most things today the internet is your friend. You can just about type in any question on the search bar and come up with something to get you started. I hope that you will update us when you find a way to get this done.
Please take care.

You would find her bones if they are out there. Bones last a good long time. They barely burn up when cremated. But this is not the forum for your question.

Have you ever contacted a Cold Case organization? If not, maybe do this before pursuing her death certificate:

Idaho Cold Case and Advanced DNA Methods (ICCADM)
A working group that uses forensic science analysis to solve cold cases involving violent crime, sexual assault, homicide, and unidentified human remains.

Missing Persons Clearinghouse (IMPC)
A 24-hour toll-free helpline that works with local law enforcement to help find missing persons. You can also follow IMPC on Facebook and Twitter for alerts.

Websleuths
An online community of researchers who compile information about cold cases.

Reddit
Has a section on unsolved cases with detailed summaries and links to sources.

Idaho Cold Cases Facebook page:
A page for discussing cold cases.

Cold Case Foundation
Founded by Greg Cooper, a former FBI Profiler, Law Enforcement Administrator, and University/College Professor.

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) also helps law enforcement agencies solve cold cases by providing access to forensic laboratories for DNA analysis.

Project: Cold Case
An organization based out of Jacksonville, Florida. You can get involved by:
Donating money, goods, or services
Volunteering

Season of Justice
A nonprofit that provides funding for investigative agencies and families to help solve cold cases.

I'm so sorry for this horrible situation. May you get answers and closure and receive peace in your heart.
