You want “quality caregiver” level worker 2 hrs every evening?
That’s it…. a mere 2 hrs each & every day? At most 14 hrs per week? That every night they have to be in this house working / caregiving for only 2 hrs, including every Sat & Sun?

Are you willing to pay at least $35 -$45 hr? And all this is done with FICA filed for this household employee? (You are paying their FICA and dealing with the tax reporting). IRS totally considers someone paid to do this to be household employee. At $35, they are getting about $23 hr / $160 per week. You might be able to find “quality caregiving” every evening for a period of time at this rate. But folks have their own lives and going to work for a mere 2 hrs every single night, of every single week, is not worth it unless they are making serious SERIOUS bank. Otherwise they will ghost you once there’s a job that pays .50 cents more per hr and doesn’t kill all their evenings.

It's been my experience that aids want at least 30 hr a wk to make it worth their while. I agree with others to check on Care.com anyway.

For my elderly Aunts who lived out of state I was able to have a neighbor 2 houses down from them come and perform (paid) light duty for them once a week. She had prior experience as a caregiver and it was an easy gig for her.

You can consider going on to Nextdoor.com and do an ISO (in search of) caregiver post and see who responds. Nextdoor is a non-anonymous intranet of your actual neighbors in your community. I use it a lot.
