my mom passed away due to Dementia. At the end if the nurses touched her she would come up off the bed screaming. Her eyes had turn to solid black pools, like pools of water. Is this normal for Dementia patients?

Julz58, my heartfelt sympathy for the passing of your Mom.

Curious, by chance was your Mom on Hospice care? Both my parents were on Hospice and they weren't in any type of pain when their organs were starting to shut down.

Dear Julz58,

My deepest condolences and sympathies on the passing of your mom. I'm so sorry.

I wasn't with my dad when he passed, but the nurse said it was very peaceful. She made no mention about the color of his eyes. When I saw him 3 hours later, his eyes were close.

I haven't heard of that with dementia. Though I have heard of that happening when alcoholics pass due do how the liver and kidneys stop functioning. Was mom in liver or renal failure?
