Need - I actually feel ok other than sore muscles which are getting better.

venting - you do have control - over yourself and what you choose to do about your situation,

Venting,

There are genuine people who are sincere in their wishes and there are phonies who are just pretending.

Personally, I detest hypocrisy. I would rather someone be honest with me, than to pretend to be a friend.

Sooner or later, people figure out who the phonies are.

I am glad that you found out sooner, rather than later, that this person wasn’t sincere.

I am sorry that things are so difficult at the moment. As Alva always says, not everything can be fixed.

Hoping that you will be able to settle your issues, or at least find coping strategies, so that you can have peace in your life.

Thanks for all your words, all of you!

Sometimes there really are things out of your control.

Need:
Thanks! I’m also really glad. Good riddance. Now the only thing is, the discovery of that frenemy is just a tiny problem, compared to the mountain of problems in front of me (which have nothing to do with frenemies). Mount Everest is a tiny, tiny pebble in comparison. Mount Everest should be embarrassed how small it is!

Of course, I try to focus on what I can control.

Anyway, I need to vent again. Here I go: 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

I feel a little better.

Need:
Peace in my life. That sounds great. Can I order that online, size XLL? Free shipping? Do I leave a review?

Venting,

I adore a person with sarcastic wittiness! You made me giggle just now.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could order it in a JUMBO size?

Damn straight, leave a really good review for it! Amazon Prime has free shipping, so we will order it there! 😊

Getting impatient for grandchild #6 to arrive. 3rd child for this daughter and son in law and she does this at home with midwife. Due date is Sunday but she says baby is very low. She sent me on this path of concern when she really felt she would likely be a week early. Anyway I will post hopefully with happy news one of these days!

River,

Congrats on the soon to be arrival of your grandbaby!

One of my nieces did the birth at home thing, under water, midwife and birth doula.

Funny story about my mom’s birth. She was born at home with a midwife. My ancestors came over from England and settled in New Orleans.

A couple of my friends and I went out for coffee one evening and I was telling my friends that mom was born with a midwife at home.

My friend said that her grandmother was the only midwife in New Orleans during that time frame. So I said, ‘So, your grandmother delivered my mother. Cool!’

Small world, huh?

Need, Beatty,
I have bad news about our group discount. As your loyal friend, I tried to buy in bulk for all of us on aging.com. Turns out they're fully out of peace. "Come back in 50 years," they told me.

It's back to the war zone for me. Fighting one problem after another. Hope I get a medal for bravery and heroism.

Venting,
I bet those danged medals are on backorder as well!

Alva, you’re RIGHT.

Oh God. No medals, no peace. I’m going to the supermarket now to get whatever they’ve run out of.

My grandaughter arrived today weighing 9 lbs 7 oz. She is named for her 2 great grandmothers. She was almost a week late and my nerves were frying especially since this was done at home with a midwife. Many more years of singing "The Wheels On The Bus" for me. I have integrated all sorts of oddities on the bus as more grandchildren arrive.

my whine moment...
i'd like to submit a formal complaint to the universe.

dear universe,
it seems to me that life is unfair. nice people are mistreated. bad people seem to get away with things. it's probably a glitch in the system. have you tried turning it off and on again? i appreciate you fix this asap. we've all been waiting for thousands of years.

thank you very, very much,

bundle of joy

My mom use to say, only the good die young.

I want to remind her of that when she threatens to live to 100.

I bite my tongue a lot, my tongue is getting smaller and smaller. 😄

OK, back to whining.

I had my first look at Reddit.
I don't know what the Forum was because the questions kind of came through partner's yahoo feed. I remember cwillie saying something about reddit.
I have to say, these cannot be real.
Can THEY?
Tell me they can't, because if this is what our nation has come to.....................................well, I am just saying. You know how bad I am about questioning whether or not questions are real. cwillie periodically has to wipe the floor up with me over such things. But this reddit stuff? They cannot be real. They simply cannot be. CAN they?

Lordy I hope I don't get addicted to THAT site, too, because I truly fear for myself. Even more than you guys currently fear FOR ME.

Lol, Alva, yeah I poked around Reddit a few times , didn't get the obsession people have with it. But people love it.

It is a strange world out there 😜
(3)
Report

Alva - it ISN'T all real, many sources say that foreign people and their bots are posting inflammatory things to cause division.
I tend to stick with fairly benign subs like cooking and gardening and my nearest communities, although I do browse the popular posts of the day because I think it's good to know what people are talking about. There are certain subs that I know are toxic though and I don't even want to know about what is said there.
(4)
Report

They weren't MEAN, cwillie, but they were nuts. Like "How much cocaine can I do and how long before I can give the baby my breast milk " sort of thing. And people with horrible tumors, taking-----I don't know, eye of newt and hair of dog to cure it. Truly outlandish stuff! Anyway, I think I have a new career path for making up questions and posting them.
I will say, good for a giggle.

Strange comment, Vegas Guy. If you don’t want to hear about other caregiver’s lives, and don’t want any comments on your own, why come to this site?
