Due to Covid PCP did not see patient, finally has and is now in cover my A$$ mode. Worthless appts non stop. The doctors he chooses are 1 to 2 star review, but they are his "friends."

So yesterday, I wasted my whole day with some dye in the neck procedure, they wanted to put a stent in the carodid (sp?) but couldnt due to "anatomy." Now a CT scan in 2 weeks for surgery getting a blockage out.

Now today, went to another dipsh!t, a neurologist. This idiot says, she does not have PD. The psychosis diagnosis from the shrink is from dopamine meds, incontinence and tremors from a pinched nerve. Now there is a MRI next week for pinched nerve neck surgery.

I already out of pocket paid for 3 neurologist opinions who determined she is not competent and has Parkinsons for guardianship hearing. These probe things on her head showed areas of dementia on the brain.

She used to have good drs. but she's getting the bottom of the barrel now from lack of compliance.

Now these two idiots both want 2 different neck surgeries. Which is stupid. Then both tell her and I 80 is the new 50, who says something that stupid?

Has anyone else heard that?

Ummm no 80 is not the new 50. What an idiot. Why are you paying out of pocket for any of this?

Pinched nerve in neck surgery? Are they talking about cervical spine surgery? As to carotids, are they talking doing an endarterectomy? The latter usually goes well but the former can be a nightmare.
Stacy, are you the guardian of POA for G. now? You are related to her only by a former marriage if I am correct, yet she is still living with you and it seems you are still doing all the care?
I am not sure what to advise you here. Seems like you get all the work with none of the power or choice. And for the life of me I don't understand why you would WANT guardianship in this instance? But that has to be up to you.
As to 80 being the new 50 I am sure it is for THEM as we used to be DEAD at 80 and they could no longer use us as ATM vending machines. To be frank, I am 79 this year, so close enough to 80 to still REMEMBER 50. Trust me, 80 ain't no 50!

Oh, I got of the phone an hour ago with German daughter who is the only person I know more high stung than me and I get burned out.

So her high school friend/elder lawyer/ sexu partner is flying her here. I said, your not welcome, what about your kid. You know, I am not European and some of their crazy crap like kissing on the mouth disgusts me. BUT, who puts their daughter on birth control at 14 lets a 22 year old bf move into the house then decides to leave her at 16 bf now 24 in the house while you fly to the US for 3 weeks to teach responsibility whem daughter wants to come over. Who the f-ck does that? Its insane to me.

Daughter is 52 so jeez, I hope G does not become that. 80 is the new 50 ya know.

How frustrating!

I've never heard a doctor say that. I suspect that some of my mom's docs are trying to make up for lost income with extra appointments. They are all at the age at which they should have kids in college, which is pricey...

Will she forget what the specialists told her about the neck surgeries?

Right now, her and the Medicaid SW are fighting guardianship so SW will get a copy of the dr report and remind her. She told the judge in the hearing she trusted me to make medical decisions for her if she is put under anasthesia or dramatically incapacitated so that was the yesterday procedure. The SW will remind her.

Ugh!

I don't know much about securing guardianship. I guess the social worker is acting on her behalf against you so that she'll be "represented"?

If you won't pay out of pocket for the surgeries, how likely are they to happen?

I had back surgery at 18, my doctor was the best but older, he was flown down to do surgery on Kennedy if he would have lived. My mom was a neuro nurse which is how I skipped the waiting list, professonal courtesy. So when they told me, I had a pinched nerve in my neck in my late 20s, he told me I would never 100% recover, back is better than neck and not to do it at that point. So, I am not going in this blind. So when he retired, he got me not into his partner but the dr he felt was the best. G also had the replacement dr. In 2014, he said she was high risk and would not do surgery. Wont see her due to high risk status.

So now, dippy-do today, ugh. Did a reflex test and determined no PD. Looked at MRI from 2014 and said, "i am imagining what it looks like today." Who bases opinions on their imagination, wtf is that?

Yes Alva surgical spine surgery from today. Yesterday, doc said well she could have a stroke and not leave a vent with surgery or have a stroke without it. They called it an encart (sp?). So 2 surgeries.

Not guardian yet, health decision maker. M is still in rehab, POS is not fit per judge due to charges and B is over in Germany. Oh and she texted me at 430 this morning she plans on coming here for 3 weeks in Aug and Sept. I told her no but that drunk, coke whore does whatever she wants. And since shes unemployed from being drunk, hitting cars and giving patients the wrong meds, its perfect for her to come here, right?

endarterectomy for the cleaning out of carotids. She can have a stroke from the surgery, as well, so I hope they disclosed that.
And the cervical spine surgery? I haven't seen one that didn't end up a mess with someone quite impaired. That includes my immediate neighbor. Lower spinal surgeries see many fewer complications.

Stacy I just don't understand how you are being held responsible for this woman. Why are her children being not being held accountable by the Court instead of you. I hope you are making it clear to daughter that she will not be staying at your house. So if one of her relatives can't take her in, then she will be paying for a Hotel stay.

What are you going to do if you don't get guardianship? Tell the SW that the State can take over this woman's care because COVID restrictions are being lifted and you have no blood relationship with this women?

Daughter is oversea, POS son has Medicaid fraud charges and yougest son is in rehab til hopefully next week for a stroke. Youngest, M, is on short term disability now which is nothing, so I am picking up his business expenses, yes, he will pay me back.

So daughter, B, texted me earlier about the trip. I told her again that she chould not stay here and bank of Stacy is closed. Her response, "I will be there August 16th and for M birthday 🎂🥂🎁🎉." I resonded no. So she tells me if money is an issue, go to her moms and sell her antiques, wtf, not doing that.
