Find Care & Housing
Regarding a privately hired caregiver:

If a caregiver is an LPN or RN they need to have a license to practice as such.

From AI search regarding a caregiving license:

"Yes, a privately hired caregiver can be licensed, but it's not usually required... A caregiver can become certified by passing an exam and completing a caregiver course. Certification is usually required to maintain the license."

Bonding:

"Any individual working independently as a home care professional, or someone who works for an agency, should have a caregiver insurance bond to inspire confidence in potential clients."

You can simply ask them if they have this. They would be able to show proof of the bond if asked.

For insurance ask for proof or who they are insured through, what type of insurance and for how much.

Businesses such as agencies will often promote that they are licensed, bonded and insured but would be able to show proof if asked. It's not common to be asked to show these proofs (but some businesses publish their license number).

Agencies Are required to have all you want as a business. Indies are not. I wanted to go agency for the in-laws but they went with an indy who like all Indy’s struck a deal that an agency would fire them for.
