Find Care & Housing
From your profile:

"I am caring for my father, living in independent living with alzheimer's / dementia, arthritis, diabetes, hearing loss, and mobility problems.

I'm 48 years old ,I LIVE WITH MY DAD .I GIVE HIM HIS MEDS BATH HIM .COOK AND FEED HIM DO his laundry take him to the doctor . I do every thing for him he can't be left by his self . And Im the one that he wants [there]. So I like to see if I can [get] home health care for him "

Do you have a job outside of this caregiving? Is your father paying you?

You can get in-home care if he is willing to pay for privately hired or agency aids. At some point, if he can't be left alone and needs 24/7 care, it will be more cost effective for him to transition into a facility.

He may qualify for some in-home help from social services, like light housekeeping, food prep and hygiene, but it won't cover straight-up caregiving/companion aids or anything medical.

Are you his PoA? If not, is anyone?

You can start by calling Council on Aging in your area and have them do an assessment of your father’s needs.

Wishing you and your dad all the best.
