In the top right hand corner of the caregiver forum is a box that says "SEARCH THE FORUM". Just type in "husband Fox News" and plenty of threads will pop up.

Delius, is this the thread? There is a section regarding Fox News as you scroll down the first page.

Delius, I've been wondering about that topic too. We have a family member who is obsessed with it and he's been having signs of some cognitive issues, and I've heard from other people that their relatives with declining mental acuity are obsessed with FOX news. We don't have cable so I've rarely see it -- is it simplified compared to MSNBC or regular network news? I was wondering if it's a coincidence or if the repetition and simplicity appeal to people the way older guys like to watch westerns. Or is it the visual production (e.g. colors)? It's bizarre. I don't mean this sarcastically, but remember when Teletubbies came out and they said its appeal to adults was an indicator of something like reduced cognitive functioning or early dementia? I wondered if FOX was something like that...

Lindylu, I think Fox News is just very conservative and a lot of elderly are also very conservative and don't like change. It probably agrees with their own views.

Sue, you are a kind person. I watched (just once) and found myself wondering where the news was - just hate mongering propaganda as far as I could see. Bad for spiritual health.
