I’m doing physical therapy but currently can’t walk and am in a wheelchair. I’m not from Las Vegas, but am here now due to medical reasons. I have no family to help because they previously stole from a gofundme that was set up to help with my recovery. I’m alone and scared.

Someone I don’t know comes and knocks on my windows. I found out from the police it was a fake lease. I’ve been here going on 3 months. I live alone and they have already turned off the heat. I have been without gas or heat for 3 weeks. I called the gas company, but they can’t turn it back on. I have a police report from when they entered my home.

I can’t move to a recovery home or live around any low income or other race communities that know who I am. I’ve tried hotels, but people knew me from when I was on a lot of blogs. I’m supposed to have arm surgery and now I’m worried about what to do. I have so much to worry about. My safety, my healing. I get scammed a lot because I’m an easy target I guess. I have a head injury so people take advantage. I need a lawyer ASAP.

Applewatts, I'm a little confused as to what your question is.

You say you can't turn the heat on because you have no gas?

You are in Vegas? It's like +100 degrees, you don't need heat.

We are a support group for people that are taking care of loved ones. Just to vent are problems and emotionally support people. From all over the world. And that's it.

If you need a lawyer maybe contact an elder lawyer in the area you are in. if someone stole your go-fundme

If you have any questions we can help you with , you can ask
Best of luck

Hi Applewatts - you shouldn't try to isolate in your condition. Not sure why you'd hide just because you were a "reality personality" - people would understand - in fact, you'd probably get more support and assistance. There's no reason to hide from the public. And, if you had a gofundme page, then you already publicized what had happened to you, correct?

I think you should worry less about people recognizing you and just focus on settling yourself in a better environment. You suffered a bad car accident and who wouldn't understand and empathize with that?

And you can find a lawyer in your area by researching.

Wishing you a full and easy recovery ~

If it is possible to get into a rehab facility you would be protected somewhat by HIPAA.
Sorry I can not offer more in the way of suggestions

You need to call APS and ask for help. But, you cannot be picky. You have to take what they can offer you.
