Please, I’m with my 87 year old mum she has cancer and is hours away from death I’m so scared she’s not eating or drinking and I’m in the care home with her I feel so scared.

My heart goes out to you both. She may not remember how to eat. If she is drinking then try a liquid meal or even a shake. How about a little chocolate? What was her favourite food? Give her a little treat. Play music she loves. Sing with her. If she is comfortable and happy - you can ask for no more that than. your best is good enough. :)
Hugs to you both

John Michael Talbot – Be Not Afraid Lyrics

You shall cross the barren desert, but you shall not die of thirst.
You shall wander far in safety though you do not know the way.
You shall speak your words in foreign lands and all will understand.
You shall see the face of God and live.

Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest.

If you pass through raging waters in the sea, you shall not drown.
If you walk amid the burning flames, you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the pow'r of hell and death is at your side, know that
I am with you through it all.

Blessed are your poor, for the kingdom shall be theirs.
Blest are you that weep and mourn, for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked men insult and hate you all because of me, blessed, blessed are you!

Do you have Hospice for her? Call the hospice line and talk to them.

Is there a friend or relative who could sit watch with you?

When my mom was dying, I used my phone to play music she loved and taught me to love, opera, musicals we'd seen together, American Songbook. It brought me comfort to "do" something, you know? It's such a helpless feeling, isn't it? (((((((Hugs)))))))). We're here with you!

Mikki, I am so sorry you are going through this alone. It would be a very scary time. Jesus said he would never leave us or forsake us. If your LO knows Jesus, she will pass from death unto life-everlasting life in heaven. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Pray for your Mom and for His help through this. He will make a way where there seems to be no way. I’m praying for both of you. You are not alone. We care about you.

I can't say more than look to Jesus.
Ice cream, can you give her ice cream. Read scripture to her would benefit you both, and sing hymns to her.
My heart goes out to you, will pray for you both, you are not alone in this season of life. Look to Jesus the author and finisher of our life.

It is typical in the last days and hours in our loved ones' lives for them to quit eating and drinking. Hopefully she is not in any pain. Usually if they are in pain, Hospice with give them medication to keep them comfortable. Both my mother in law and mother were given Oxycontin for the pain, but that normally will put them into a comatose state and they will no longer be able to talk or correspond with others. This begins the death process. She will be able to hear you, so continue to talk and tell her things. God Bless you on this journey ♥

Mikki spend the time she has left brushing her hair, giving her hands a rub, and speak to her and let her know it’s ok to go. These are moments you will never forget.
We’ll all be thinking of you today.

Mikki, you brought back memories when my mom was dying, to hear her struggle to breathe. I know the panic, the fear you must be going through. I'm so sorry! I soooo hope you have someone once in a while - to be there with you. {{HUGS}} for strength and courage.
