Mom was diagnosed with mild to moderate Alzheimer's. I've seen a change in her voice, I know this sounds crazy but her voice has become strained , she always had a kind voice now it's strained and bossy . Does anyone know more about frontal lobe Alzehemiers and what I should expect ? Her walking is not so good but she has osteoarthritis , hypothyroidism and CHF . My sister died in 2013 so I am her only care giver , I also work full time as a RN. I don't want to put her in a nursing home she's all I have . She does have physical therapy ,occupational therapy and a CNA to help . thank you all in advance for your help
How old are you ? How old is your mother? Do you have your own health insurance? Are you financially prepared to retire? You need to continue to build your own life otherwise, you might not have one when your mother dies. I've read many stories here of how hard it is to go back into the workforce after being out for a long time. Try to find some ways to make sure you are cared for as well as your mother.

Is her problem with walking because of her arthritis?
