Has anyone any experience of an Alzheimer sufferer complaining if 'a fog/fuzziness/heaviness in the front of their head above their eyes?
My mum gets quite distressed about this feeling on MOST days(but not everyday). It must be a real feeling otherwise she'd forget about it.
Think it's probably part of the condition, but why would it come and go? What's actually causing thw feeling?

She may be describing something called brain fog. It can be caused by dehydration or fatigue. Sometimes it happens for no apparent reason. I have brain fog a good bit. It feels like there is a cloud in my head and my sight feels like it is foggy, although I can see clearly. (I can't believe that I just caused it to descend on me by thinking of how to describe it.) The only things I know that clear the fog are water and rest. Maybe you can tell your mother that water is known to help. It may create a placebo effect, even if the problem isn't dehydration.

I can sympathize with your mother if it is brain fog. It is not a pleasant feeling.

The fog/fuzziness/heaviness in the front of one's head above their eyes sounds a lot like a sinus infection. Have her doctor check that out.

Thanks jessiebelle , (sorry to have brought this feeling back to you though). Because I haven't experienced 'brain fog' I can't imagine what it feels like, I thought mum might have a headache and give her paracetamol but this didn't help. I'll try the water/placebo effect.
