She fell down and broke her leg, now all doctors said she is ok & can walk again but she refused to walk, even she doesn't help to do basics such like going to toilet.

She keeps acting that she can't walk, can't go toilet.

For past 4-5 months our life became dark.

We went to many doctors, all assured that she is perfect and no reason for her to do that.

She became selfish, she doesn't care about her kids or husband or even about her life. careless, no feeling at all.

Sorry to say that we love her & we have being trying for past 4 months with her but no use.

What else can we do?

Mo, welcome to the forum.

Your profile says mom has Alzheimer's, is that true?

With Alzheimer's, you may need to think of mom as having a "broken brain". She isn't being selfish; she cannot comprehend that what was broken is now healed.

Do you have access to mental health services? She may need the intervention of a therapist or psychiatrist, working with a physical therapist to get her back to walking.

She doesn't have Alzheimer's but claims she can't remember so we don't have to push her to walk

Did she go to rehab?
If not I would talk to the doctor about getting her some rehab time.
If she did she either did not participate, and that might be due to the dementia. If she does not participate Medicare will not continue to pay for rehab.
If she did rehab and participated she is probably frightened particularly if where she is now is where she fell. If that is the case see if rehab can come into the house to help her and see if that helps.
If this all fails then she is wheelchair bound and you will be better off if you begin to obtain the training on how to safely transfer her and or get the equipment that you will need. A Sit to Stand might work now if she has the strength to hold herself up if not then a Hoyer Lift is the way to go.
