I've noticed there are parks that have little or not enough benches to sit on. I've been to a few parks that only have picnic tables to sit on, but for a senior that's crippled or has poor eyesight, that could be a problem. And the pathways have got to be paved in order to push a walker down them. As far as activities, watching people, feeding birds, walking the paths or just plain sitting on a bench that has a view would be enough. Also a bathroom that's not locked up is essential.

Check out your local Parks & Recreation on line. They will give a description of each park. Hopefully at least one of them will fit your needs. If a bench is too hard, bring a pillow. Just being out in the fresh air, watching the kids play & hearing the birds sing can be enjoyable. When the weather warms up I plan on taking my dad on one of the walking paths.

Also check out your local senior center, they have many activities. I'm taking my dad to the senior center for lunch today.
