Does anyone know of a hoyer u-sling (the toileting/hygiene sling that allows you to change a tabbed brief, etc while in the sling) for a petite (4'11 heigth but 155 pounds) adult male? The ones we've tried off Amazon seem to slip up his thigh towards his knees and also inch up his back-seems like we need one geared toward his smaller height-any makes/models appreciated-thanks
The hoyer equipment should be specifically designed for children. Make sure before purchasing that this equipment can safely accommodate weights up to 175-200 lbs. Before purchasing do some google research on multiple websites for "children mobility lifts". Look at the reviews and costs, try to see which brands and models are consistently getting the best reviews before purchasing.
Best wishes.
You might even want to go to a local Medical Supply location and see if they have pediatric slings. At least ask what the largest pediatric sling would be that should give you an idea if it will work.
